The hike they intended to do was a relatively simple and straight forward hike, so a lot of people have been bamboozled as to how they could get lost and think something more sinister may have happened. Eventually, some bones and boots were found and identified as belonging to the girls, however most of their bones have yet to be found. Inside the backpack were their personal effects including a camera with photos taken over a week after their disappearance. The search began for the girls, but nothing was found for over two months, when finally their backpack was found by a local woman. On the 2nd, they were reported missing as they missed a scheduled tour with a guide. They set out for a day hike on the 1st of April, but never returned. Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon were two Dutch women who disappeared while hiking in Panama in April of 2014. This is my first post on here, but I've been obsessing over this story for the last few days and I've come up with a theory and would love to hear your thoughts.
